After a two year hiatus, North American All Stars is proud to announce that we have restructured our organization to afford
athletes the opportunity to market themselves in an All Star Football Showcase without having to pay to play!
Coach
Rusty Bentley, Chief Operations Officer and Associate Athletic Director states that, “These kids have been paying for
twelve years and now it is time to find a way to help them help themselves. The 2011 North Texas Showcase
will be benevolently funded and we will find a way through sponsorships and program advertising to absorb and extend operation
costs”.
In the past, these types of all star games have cost athletes reportedly up
to $1000 to participate. That is no longer the case. “We feel that there are many
Super Star games that cover kids’ cost so why can’t there be an All Star game that does so as well?”
said Bentley.
The first game will be between athletes from Dallas and surrounding areas playing
athletes from Fort Worth and surrounding areas on June 25, 2011 in Arlington, Texas, at The University of Texas at Arlington
Maverick Stadium.
There exists plans to extend to San Antonio, Houston, or Austin next year
and extend outside of Texas with two additional cities across the country each year after that. Bentley
says, “We are currently talking with coaches in Atlanta to add a showcase there next year . I am
excited for what we have to offer for the kids; however, as excited as I am, my board members are constantly telling me to
‘Walk before you run’!”
